Apotheosis offers some features with classic mob spawners. Open JEI, search for spawners and look at the possible modifiers. E.g. right click with a comparator to make the spawner redstone controllable. You can also modify min and max spawn delays, spawn count, range, etc. And you can mine spawners with Silk Touch in this pack. Mob masher and an absorption hopper is definitely better if you aren't using the essence (cause the absorption hopper gathers liquid xp which is the same as essence but can't be used in a mob duplicator which isn't early game) because you can use looting upgrades.

You could probably automate it with a bunch of modular routers, one keyed to pull out of the duplicator and into a chest, then filter outputs to send each different thing to a different router, then tie wireless redstone channels to each router and tie the button on a screen to that wireless channel ...But 4 mob duplicators can kill the frames on my (admittedly less than awesome) PC if they’re running simultaneously. Think about it. They’re summoning literally hundreds or thousands of entities. All that pathing. All that rendering. It’s the duplicators.
