Hello, I'm a biker who rides a grom in Korea. You will hear the same sound as the video below. I don't think it's normal. I have already replaced the cam chain, cam chain tensioner, guide bearing, drive chain, sprocket (14t, 36t), and engine oil with new ones. Whether you pull the clutch or not, you have to open the throttle to hear the sound.The Grom’s minimalist aesthetic is enhanced by its blacked-out engine, exhaust, wheels and swingarm. Engine lost its compression, so it is or the cam, valve or broken piston.. …Use a 17mm deep thin wall socket to rotate to TDC on compression. Engine is very similar to a Grom, except that it's a semi and carburettor. I made a wire loom out of an old Innova wiring loom, but left out all the extra's for the gauges, turn signals and all the other stuff i didn't need. Mind that there are a couple of extra wires and switches ... undo it and reset the ecu. The bike is stretched, on air with a fender delete. It did have the tip sensor deleted with the fender delete which left a check engine light on but it didn’t flash.
