So, when you decide to install an optic, the rear sight disappears. An optics-ready slide cut will accept Shield RMS sights, Sig’s Romeo Zero or the Holosun HS407K.Yes, The Holosun 507K-X2 will direct mount on the P365X slide. No problem. The 'plate' being referred to is the rear sight plate or 'filler plate' that is removed to direct mount the optic. Can't answer the CA question, perhaps someone else can.
